Wow, I've added four tablespoons now of ground cayenne to this hummus and I can't taste it. What gives?

There's your problem. You have to buy cayenne pepper whole, when it's ground the oils escape and it loses all its flavor.

I moved these to the food topic, just because deleting them would fuck up the pages in the conspiracy topic.

Ah, then nigga did not kill my buzz.

Mass, what's going on here? Occasionally, I'll see the word "Delete" next to my posts. I click on it and a dialog box comes up, mentioning that "moderators may still be able to view this post". If I try to carry out the deletion, it tells me I can't. Can you explain this?

Thanks for the help with my insignificant, nooby problems. I appreciate it.

As for me not being able to see the Delete function, it's strange, as I've only seen it a couple of times before.

Good grub today.

Half an english.

This is the Lemmy burger from the Nottingham Navigation - best burgers in the UK.

Melted cheddar, grilled jalapenos and a Jack Daniels mustard sauce.

Curly fries on the side, washed down with a Mansfield cask ale.

Really had a craving for some good, hearty Pho, but didn't feel like shelling out monies at the Vietnamese joint. So I got creative with some Top Ramen.

Gunny's Faux Pho

Serves 2

  • 1 package Maruchan Ramen Noodles, Oriental flavor
  • 2 Tbsp. Hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tsp. Sliced Chives/Scallions (fresh, frozen, or freeze-dried)
  • Vietnamese-style chili sauce (sambal oelek or Sriracha), 1 Tbsp to start plus more to taste
  • 1 jalapeno/serrano chili, sliced
  • Thai basil, fresh cilantro, and/or bean sprouts for garnish
  • 1 Tsp. Lime juice, plus more to taste

Prepare the instant ramen as directed, and pour into a serving vessel. While still very hot, add the sauces, lime juice, garlic and scallions/chives into serving bowl. Stir well until sauces are dissolved into the broth. Add extra chili sauce to taste, and garnish with sliced chili, Thai basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts. Add lime juice to taste. Enjoy your budget pho.

If desired, add cooked, sliced chicken or beef just before serving to make pho ga or pho bo, respectively.

6-10 thinly sliced garlic cloves

Oh, sorry misunderstood you lol. Yeah it does, especially with the red hint of the oil. The poached egg really adds to it.
