DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted November 30, 2013 It's chip shop curry sauce. Tastes as bad as it looks, but after a few pints it doesn't really matter what it tastes like.
gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted November 30, 2013 Perhaps one of our UK brethren could explain the local obsession with curry?
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted November 30, 2013 It may look and taste like diarrhea, but it's still better than anything else you're going to get in England. That is the only reason.

GunSmith 2452 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 Beautiful...How'd you coat it? Roll it in a vat of crushed peanuts?
gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 Yeah, toasted some unsalted dry roasted peanuts, gave them a rough chop, and pressed them onto the sides of the buttercream. Vat = about a cup and a half.
Brian 972 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 That looks really good, do you think honey roasted peanuts would have been a good flavoring with this?
gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted December 9, 2013 That's a good idea, Brian - I really like the combination of peanut butter and honey, so I'm sure it would taste great...but I also try to balance my desserts so they aren't overly sweet, and buttercream is pretty sweet to start with...maybe salted peanuts would work too. That's the fun part of it, trying new/different things each time.
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted December 13, 2013 Subway's pastrami melt is absolute garbage. I should not even have given it a chance. Never get pastrami from anyone but a butcher, kids.
