creed200569 2 Report post Posted November 17, 2012 i think the more things to do in this game, the better. Bring back bowling and pool, but just tweak them a little more. The carnival in the background of one of the photos should definately be available to use. Poker,Texas Hold Em and other card games should be in as well. I'd like to play quarters in the bar. They could make the controls like they did in Leisure suit Larry n just use the right stick to bounce the quarter in the cup, which brings me to another thing, why not let us go around and buy beer and the more we drink, the more fucked up we get and the less we'll be able to see. There is so much that they could do to this game to make it the ultimate game. Look at PS Home, there are soooo many ppl that enjoying going there walking around and playing those little activities and mini games. They could even add chess/checkers tables at some of the parks in GTA. They said they have a full economy with tons of more things for players to spend their money on, I cant wait to see what they have in store for us
Synch 476 Report post Posted November 18, 2012 This is clearly a surf shop...will the tide in GTA V be that realistic? Could players paddle out into the surf and ride waves back in? On the sign it does say...lessons...hmmm...interesting. Also, notice to the right of the surf shop, there's a swimsuit store and to the right of that is a place to buy sunglasses... In the distance, the faded white sign with faded red lettering says: "T-Shirts, Towels, Hats, and Souvenirs"...god I love HD...lol That's actually really the way Venice Beach is. Surfing, etc. I don't remember if Santa Maria Beach in San Andreas had signs for these things, but the Santa Monica Pier is also an activity based area. One thing is also probably going to happen is street performer minigames or random encounters. Venice is famous for all the art and performers, I can't imagine Vespucci Beach wouldn't have at least some. Kind of looks like there is some person shadowed off to the right who may be a vendor or performer. Crowds gather around these people and interact. Will be interesting to see what we can do here. TreeFitty 2631 Report post Posted November 18, 2012 I'm pretty sure that's a mime. The Guardian preview talked about street performers: Driving around the intricately detailed streets, we spot tributes to landmarks like Muscle beach and the Hollywood sign, we see mime artists and weirdos patrolling the pavements, there's a guy dressed as Jesus – that guy is really out there in Santa Monica, posing for photos with tourists. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2012/nov/12/grand-theft-auto-v-preview-gta-5

MrMister81 473 Report post Posted November 19, 2012 gambolling gambolling: present participle of gambol (verb) - to skip about, as in dancing or playing; frolic. Sounds awesome. Not enough frolicking in past GTA titles.
Noire 3 Report post Posted November 19, 2012 I remember in TBOGT you would jump out of a helicopter into the water and drive your boat on land and hop in a car and race to the finish line. I want to see this come back in a major way, and also to come back online. would be sick to do all this and race to mt chilliard, get on a bike and race to the top. Ginginho 1613 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 It was confirmed in one of the IGN articles that tennis, golf and the triathlon will be mini games. It sounds like they are quite extensive too, with a full round of golf able to be played, although they won't be a large part of the game in general. It was also confirmed that each character will have their own games or jobs available. The ones above sound like they might be suitable for Michael. I can see the inevitable car collection task falling to Franklin. There will also surely be racing - maybe each character would have an advantage in a particular type of race, for example, Trevor being the better character to use for any flying races. This could probably apply to any of the games I guess. Animals are also in the game so perhaps there will be hunting or dog fighting (Franklin and Chop). I would like to see some old school video games, arcade and console. Nothing too involved, perhaps the ultimate easter egg of a condensed version of the original GTA on one of the consoles. Also something like the amazing race, where you have to get to the far corners of the map using different transportation and doing a few small tasks. Gambling will surely be in it, whether it is card games, slots or sports betting. A few pub games would be sweet too. Can easily see Trevor drug dealing or committing petty crimes for cash too. So, going on the information we have, what else can you see in there??
CoSm1c gAm3r 2 Report post Posted November 22, 2012 I hope that they will make lots of different stuff so everyone will find something for themselves. As a quick idea I would add playing pool for money not only with friends. Also other games should have gambling option to play with someone who want to play not only friends. It would be cool if there would be tournaments for example in tennis, pool, golf and player would have opportunity to play with differently skilled NPC in tournaments. That way it would be cool way to make money not only robing, stealing, heists and all other criminal acts.
CapnMike 103 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 The vigilante missions in IV were cool, although I wished they had also included at least the taxi missions too. I think paramedic and firefighter missions could be awesome this time around but probably won't happen.
GunSmith 2452 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 I hope that if casinos feature in the game, we'll be able to gamble online, with others in a Free Mode.
CapnMike 103 Report post Posted February 26, 2013 I hope that if casinos feature in the game, we'll be able to gamble online, with others in a Free Mode. That would be nice, it was a good way to pass the time and just lounge around in rdr
GunSmith 2452 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 What could possibly be done with yoga? Really, now. Will it be a Move/Kinect feature? I doubt it. Will it be button pressing to change positions and align your chakra? I doubt it. ...So what could those bastards at Rockstar have in store for us regarding yoga?
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 Whatever it is, you can be sure it's a complete waste of time. As is tennis.
GunSmith 2452 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 Unless grenades are somehow involved in tennis. That will be time well spent.
Ginginho 1613 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 If they have yoga, there had better be a fart button....
deepbreathley 13 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 Mini Games are usually a waste of time but we would complain if they were not there. I usually enjoy them because rockstar make things so fucking funny that i don't mind. Bar bowling (my opinion) and besides, you don't like them, don't play them. I like all the things i have heard are going to be in it, but a whole golf course is a bit much, i dont see myself playing that for ages when i could be jumping out of a plane. or ............. Having said that i have found myself sitting around for hours playing poker on rdr or just getting drunk and playing darts with Jacob.
CapnMike 103 Report post Posted March 19, 2013 I bet windsurfing could be a fun activity you'd have to really work to get good at. I could see us avoiding sharks, rocks and fighting to balance against the wind. Maybe some windsurf races for cash...
jurriaanh 12 Report post Posted March 19, 2013 I liked the Assassinations sub missions in IV. Hopefully you can be a (professional) hitman as well in V and can you do more assasinations than in IV.
River 649 Report post Posted May 5, 2013 Kayaking could be really cool like whitewater stream with large drops, and fast currents etc. maybe a couple of spots on the map, or at least one with a river in the mountains etc.
Ginginho 1613 Report post Posted May 5, 2013 After playing Far Cry 3 for a while, I wouldn't mind hang gliding too - wide array of kill options using that
shortstacker 2 Report post Posted May 5, 2013 I read somewhere that you could hunt? Is this true? If so, possible mini-games surrounding this (similar in RDR) would be great. Especially if you could make a sweet jacket out of the mountain lions fur??? Oh and how about herding cattle/sheep through the city centre?? Kayaking could be really cool like whitewater stream with large drops, and fast currents etc. maybe a couple of spots on the map, or at least one with a river in the mountains etc. You could take a jetski on the back of a trailer to the top of the river and fly down it? That would be a nice disturbence of the peace!
eZnov 13 Report post Posted May 5, 2013 I also read you can hunt. Fuck, yes please. Maybe you can work as a animal control guy? Take out any non domestic animals roaming the streets, like a deer on the freeway, or a mountain lion in a busy suburban neighbourhood. Sorry if this should be in the animal discussion, but working as animal control could be a minigam I guess. Unlikely, but still, its another idea
DozyGamer 445 Report post Posted May 5, 2013 I liked the Assassinations sub missions in IV. Hopefully you can be a (professional) hitman as well in V and can you do more assasinations than in IV. I really liked the assassination in IV too, and I'm hoping they would come back with some of the planning stuff we can do for the heist missions. It would be like an open world Hitman game!!! BartG 6 Report post Posted May 5, 2013 I loved the hunting in red dead I spent hours looking for animals and the special hunting missions Imagine that but then with a car, just riding along you see a dear on the side of the road and you hit it at 100mph
