DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 I've been playing GTA III on my phone for the last two days, trying to achieve 100% before Vice City comes out! Not bad so far. I've collected 40 packages, and i'm almost in Shoreside Vale, I've saved a Mr Whoopee, Securicar and a Trashmaster in safehouses for the import/export. Just have a few core missions left and some side missions and i should be done. This game is still fun!

I've tried so hard to play this game for android but I cannot get the shooting mechanics down, I'm going to try and rig up my PS3 controller to get it to work for sometime this winter. ConQueSteD 552 Report post Posted December 26, 2012 I played GTA III today while I was with family at a gathering killing time till the food was cooked, I finally got the hang of the shooting mechanism granted I still prefer console over handheld but I'll definitely be trying 100% on this as Vice City when It's made available for the HTC Incredible 4G
DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted December 26, 2012 It took me a while to figure out that you needed to tap the guy you wanted to autoaim at before shooting. After that the game wasn't so hard. Vice City was just as much a great nostalgic trip as 3 was!
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 are the controls for GTA3 mobile the same as vice city?? i have nailed down the VC controls, but i have yet to play the GTA3 that i downloaded a week ago... i like how i can customize my control layout, but something makes me think that isn't possible in 3... vice city has an auto aim feature, which works for the most part, but also stubbornly stays locked on people hiding behind cover... GTA 3's HUD customization is pretty much the same as Vice City and the autoaim is almost the same. Pretty much feels the same if I'm honest, apart from car physics and all the original upgrades Vice City had over GTA 3.

I'm not far into GTA III even though I've had it awhile, but I'm fucking determined to finally beat GTA III for the first time. (yes I know I haven't beat it before but I was in 3rd grade when it launched, I got stuck after unlocking the last island)
DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted December 27, 2012 One warning though, that mission where you throw the grenade or Molotov into the window was pathetically difficult lol.... well it was for me anyway.
ConQueSteD 552 Report post Posted December 30, 2012 One warning though, that mission where you throw the grenade or Molotov into the window was pathetically difficult lol.... well it was for me anyway. It took me 2 1/2+ hours to beat bomb da base act ii, but that was because the sniper moves super slow for me. Now sadly I can't beat Under Surveillance because the last group down towards the casino spawns inside the building. I've tried blowing up cars grenades nothing works. If anybody wants the save file to take a whack I'll upload it. edit: just beat it. I found the 6 men on the balconies across from the casino.
