cuda 939 Report post Posted March 29, 2014 I realise that now. But the article I read when I first posted that said undisclosed. Hell of a lot of money to plow into a peripheral though. I hear share holders in the original business are pissed. Wasn't Oculus crowd funded on Kickstart? "share holders" can go suck a dick.

Qdeathstar 1763 Report post Posted March 29, 2014 I realise that now. But the article I read when I first posted that said undisclosed. Hell of a lot of money to plow into a peripheral though. I hear share holders in the original business are pissed. If there were actual share holders, most of them get a vote on whether or not to sell the company... Minority shareholders wouldn't be happy but would still get there share of the monies I'm not comparing fo or gta to infamous, except to say that their gameplay hasn't changed... Massacre 7646 Report post Posted March 29, 2014 The new infamous looks pretty, but from what I see the gameplay looks like the same repetition as previous iterations. I can see myself getting bored freeroaming. This is the main reason I didn't buy Second Son. gta has had the same gameplay since gta 3.... Those screenshots make me excited for gta 6 and fo4 Q does have a point. Pretty much every sequel in pretty much every game series of note has had the same basic gameplay. As far as game mechanics go, after GTA III, GTA's biggest changes have been common sense stuff that any series should do as technology advances. It wasn't particularly innovative to add flying vehicles and a 360 degree camera for firing a gun from your car, it was just the next logical step up. Assassin's Creed has made basic climbing and combat upgrades, but it's one of the most repetitive game series I've played, and it's amazingly successful. They're popular because of the story and graphical upgrades, and a gameplay formula that remains fun despite having few changes. Infamous has always had a fun, interesting, comic book-style story. It just took them until the third game to make a real graphical upgrade, and the gameplay has made all the upgrades that were needed. Also, the settings for the Infamous games aren't any more empty than Assassin's Creed's settings. The people are just kind enough to not get in your way when you're at ground level, or when there's a huge battle of flames and sparks and explosions going on.
DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted March 29, 2014 Each to their own I guess. I bought the first two infamous games on release, and sort of felt disappointed with them upon reflection. Same with Assassin's Creed after 3. If a game isn't as good as its predecessor, then I just lose faith in the series. I've got that sort of instinctive feeling about watchdogs too, even though it's a first. I'm just being more careful about what I spend my money on this generation. In terms of innovation, I don't see that much yet from PS4 or XbOne. Too much focus is on graphics at the moment (Which does look nice though).
shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Game are doing a PS4 & Watchdogs bundle for £385 or a PS4, Watchdogs & Playstation Plus bundle for £420. I'm seriously tempted and had planned on buying a PS4 at sometime this year.
DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted April 5, 2014 Well, i saw an opportunity and took it. My friend was about to trade in Infamous SS after he completed it. And i made him a counter offer. I bought it off him for £20. So i can now judge the game for myself. I wasn't abut to go and pay full price for it.

shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 Took the plunge and pre-ordered the Watchdogs and PS4 bundle today - was always going to get it at some point this year and the news about the Last of Us Remastered helped my decision (never played it but a couple of people at work have urged me to get it, so makes sense to get the PS4 version once released). DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted April 27, 2014 Don't be fooled by your local game store. I was told by my local game store employees that my older Turtlebeach headset isn't compatible with ps4. Don't let them fleece another £49.99 or more for a new headset. I got my low end p11 tb headset to work fine using the usb slot and the grey audio jack plugged into the controller... simples. cuda 939 Report post Posted May 13, 2014 What else does the PS4 offer besides the games? I was thinking of getting one of these things, but I haven't played a video game in a console since Tekken 3. What can I expect? Any fees for online play? Any decent games out now? Game prices? Can I view porn in it?
Qdeathstar 1763 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 I dont think the ps4 has a browser yet... Games are 59.99 If you lay the controller on your cock, it will vibrate occasionally while playing a game.
GunSmith 2452 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) What else does the PS4 offer besides the games? I was thinking of getting one of these things, but I haven't played a video game in a console since Tekken 3. What can I expect? Any fees for online play? Any decent games out now? Game prices? Can I view porn in it? Online is *NOT* free. It plays Blu-ray and DVD, too, so porn is readily available. Edited May 14, 2014 by GunSmith
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 Playing online requires PS Plus, except where a game requires a subscription (The Elder Scrolls Online) or has an online pass (most games nowadays, as a deterrent from purchasing pre-owned games).

Can I view porn in it? You can surf the web and watch YouTube. Games like Elder Scrolls, and Final Fantasy are subscription based, so if that the only kind of game you're after, don't bother with psplus. PSplus does reward you in the long run though, a free new game every month isn't a bad deal.
cuda 939 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 So, is it very rarely that I will need a PSPlus subscription? What's with the free games? Actual good games or just older generation/crappy mobile like games?
DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted May 14, 2014 The games are always new release on PS4. Mostly indie releases, but you do get the odd triple A freebie every couple of months across the range of PSN devices. I haven't played yet, but I got pay day 2 free (ps3), and psplus installed itself for me whilst I was at work. So it does have some value. As it stands, you only really need PS Plus to play FPS games like BF4 and Killzone at this stage, but as time goes on, it will probably become more of a necessity. As regards to what the ps4 offers, don't forget 'Project Morpheus', the VR headset which is on the horizon. I bet it'll be more affordable than the Oculus, and then you can start downloading VR Porn
Qdeathstar 1763 Report post Posted May 15, 2014 I doubt the price will be significantly different, but sony should have better software
cuda 939 Report post Posted May 16, 2014 I was looking at the games, there doesn't seem to be much out there, I know very little about these new games though. I've heard there is a new Oddworld coming out, that should be good. That Assassins Creed game black flag or some shit looked good as well, but apparently it's just a port from the PS3?
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 16, 2014 New Assassin's Creed game is Unity, coming out later this year, and is being made especially for PS4/Xbox One. It's set during the French Revolution. Black Flag is a port, yeah, but Ubisoft handles ports better than most companies. Watch_Dogs is similar to AC (and is also made by Ubisoft), and that is also on PS4. Infamous: Second Son looks amazing, but I don't have a PS4, so I haven't played it, so I have no idea if it matters that you haven't played the first two games (as much as you read, I'd be disappointed if you didn't care about the story in a video game). Not sure what else is out right now.
