gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted July 8, 2013 The first time I saw this on Just For Laughs, I nearly pissed my pants laughing, it's a great bit:
narcolepsy 581 Report post Posted July 8, 2013 Early Eddie Murphy (before he got too "big") is a favourite, and Richard Pryor as Jizzin said There are heaps I have seen and liked but can't remember who they are - I like watching the highlights from the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. I quite like Bob Saget (as seen in The Aristocrats) as a stand up, just because of the contrast from his "normal" TV persona. A lot of British guys have their moments - Jimeoin, Danny Bhoy, Michael McIntyre to name a few We also have quite a strong stand-up scene in NZ now too..... herd of Brendon Burns at all? Think he's from your neck of woods (either that or Oz) and he's quality
rm80rams 62 Report post Posted July 9, 2013 I was content to ignore Kevin Hart, despite him taking up valuable airtime on Comedy Central that could be going to funny comedians, but his new standup set being released in theaters is fucking sickening. I don't know what happened, but with Tyler Perry, and now Kevin Hart, it seems black people can't help but make untalented morons a thousand times more famous than they ever should've been.Kevin Hart should've gotten booed out of an open mic night 15 years ago and put a bullet in his head immediately after. his movie, from previews, looks to be a fucking disaster. His 'jokes' aren't even fucking jokes. I guess you have to be black to get it.
Jizzy 633 Report post Posted July 24, 2013 Kevin Hart's only funny bits are the ones with SAY IT WITH YA CHEST and the thug telling a story in a bar, and they only got a racist laugh out of me.
DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted July 24, 2013 Louis C.K and Bill Burr make me laugh. I think it's just the melancholy outlook on life, but with a New York Accent. New Yorkers' are almost as depressing and moany as the British.

Voidhawk77 1 Report post Posted August 13, 2013 I'm about to watch Bill Bailey's part troll show. My favourite piece of stand-up from a British comedian. Highly enjoyable. Recommended. He sings too! Bewilderness was the first show of Bill's that I saw although my favourite is Cosmic Jam. I've also seen him live when he was trying out new material before his Tinselworm tour. Very funny bloke! narcolepsy 581 Report post Posted October 14, 2013 Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle are the only ones funny enough to be known in America. Alan Carr would be fucking huge if they ever tried to crack America with him, women love OTT gay guys, now combine that with being fairly humourous.
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted October 14, 2013 'Fairly' tends to be the upper limit of a gay fellow's humor. Also, does England have an explanation for Russel Brand? I often feel like we're owed one. We cannot get rid of this guy. Believe me, we have tried.

Massacre 7646 Report post Posted October 14, 2013 You're from Long Island, you're not a real New Yorker. Don't be so defensive. That's like a white guy defending a honky when someone calls it a honky.
Firm 982 Report post Posted November 6, 2013 Starting to enjoy Frankie Boyle again(not his stand-up, which is shit). His time on Mock the Week was glorious, that Richard Hammond joke still makes me whince. I recently watched his Buzzcocks appearances He needs to be the host full time. TheAnalogKid2112 163 Report post Posted December 7, 2013 Bill Burr is definitely one of the best out there. Dude comes up with shit that's always bothered me but I've never really put into words. He's just an angry psycho, but a very observant one.

Ginginho 1613 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 Just re-watched an old Richard Pryor show.... he is my nomination for funniest honky of all time. Although, he seems to have stolen his whole routine, including mannerisms, from Chris Rock...
