Single Player DLC

Recommended Posts

It look likes a jet inside of a stunt planes body... I imagine using if to slice between buildings and under bridges before clipping the side of A FUCKING POWER POLE AND BURNING A WHOLE INTO THE EARTH.

As far as this expansion pack not being overpriced, if you don't think 50 dollars is over priced, then your right.

$50?? ok... lol you always get too technical QD... dropped a little over $300K on this DLC... i only bought one car, some masks, clothes and weapons... for me that's pretty darn cheap... no one said you had to buy everything...

But, it it were an expansion back of rdr's style you would get everything

Your not getting everything now, in part, because it is just too expensive.

...and because i don't want some of it too ;)... i'll never buy the turismo... and yea, the plane is a big purchase, one i have to think about... i'd rather just pay $5 for all the content but it's not like i couldn't earn that money anyways playing missions...

the equivelent in shark cards is about $50 sure, but they don't expect you to penny up and do that... i'm sorry but it sounds more and more like you just want this stuff handed to you... you don't wanna work for it... you keep missing the point of GTAO... you gotta put in the work to get what you want... otherwise you have to buy shark cards if you're too lazy...

you don't have the time to play? understandable... enjoy the new content FREE in single player then...

If you average around 7000 per mission, and a mission takes 5 minutes to complete, how long will it take you to earn 950000?

Around 12 hours... I'd also say those averages are best case, and don't include the ammo and repair fees you gotta pay

The point of Gtao for me, as with any game is to have fun. I am having fun, but I would be having more of rockstar was more reasonable with their prices.

I'm with bOnEs on this one, I took the Jester and Alpha out for a spin as Franklin, then jumped into online with the boys...DiO and Otiz both let me drive their Turismos and I got to fly the new plane as well. There is free access to the new content in singleplayer without grinding for the money.

In GTA San Andreas we ended up with tonnes of money but nothing to spend it on, and people complained with good reason...after you'd bought every property and made millions at the casino or OTB, what was the point of having money anymore? GTAO is set up to give us something to 'spend' money on, and you're complaining about that too. I just don't get it.

The patch is free, we get access to new shit in singleplayer, and in GTAO we can pick and choose what we want and whether to grind for it or use a shark card. The Qd doth protest too much, methinks.

i think we need more bang for your buck with the shark card, no doubt about it.. but you can earn $18K in 5 minutes playing rooftop rumble... you could earn around $200K in about an hour...

I'd agree with you there, bOnEs, I might consider a one-time shark card purchase if you got more for the money...but so far I'm pleased with getting countless hours of play value for the $60 I spent on the base game.

If R* had required a monthly fee to access GTAO, or tried bleeding players to death with a thousand micro-transactions (say $5 or $10 for each of the DLC patches we've had so far), I wouldn't be playing online at all.

So, we all agree we are being over charged, but you all just take pride in doing the same thing in repetition. Cool I guess.

Also, I never complained about having too much money in gta sa... I'm not for a monthly fee either, but if we all agree that a car, at most is worth 1.99 usd, I feel that the price in Gtao money should correlate.

Why shouldn't it? Rockstar fanboyism..

I'll agree that the prices seem a bit arbitrary or disproportionate, but I don't agree that a single car is worth $2. Using that logic, the game's original list price of $60 would only cover 30 cars. Grinding the higher-paying missions to raise funds is just part of the game, I don't see how pride has anything to do with it.

I'll be curious to see what the payouts will be like if/when we get heist missions, or if the casino becomes interactive. It might be much easier to make $1M to purchase a plane then.

yea, i do kind of enjoy repeating missions... it's what you do in RPG's, you grind it out to get the cool stuff... i played deal breaker for GTAIV probably 1500 times... and i never got tired of it :D...

---

i could see them setting restrictions on how often you can do a heist... there are job points but i bet there'll be a cool-down period after a heists where they force you to wait 45 minutes or so to do another one... it makes it more realistic, but also keeps people form constantly repeating it...

you could do rooftop rumble for a half hour to earn enough job points to play a heist... then after finishing the heist, go back to rooftop rumble to earn more job points and to pass the time waiting for the next big score...

The most I've purchased from this pack has been two masks and a couple tattoos. The Jester, surprisingly, is the only car I feel is worth grinding for (the Alpha is nice, but it doesn't have many customization options), but I've barely done any races, so I don't have the essential performance mods unlocked.

Basically, this pack has only cost me around $30,000, online. Franklin has spent a great deal on his Jester in story mode, however.

I've been blowing most of my cash on the new masks. They are all pretty great. I've bought 4 so far. I also picked up a Jester, and I may or may not get an Alpha (wish there were more mods). I tested the Turismo with Franklin, and I didn't like it. It just doesn't "feel" right.

Also, after checking the male and female clothing options with the DLC, I think male characters finally got a good deal for once. Purple suit and tie!

the masks are all awesome... i still think the ladies clothing options in all the DLC's so far have paled in comparison to the male clothes... but this pack is certainly tons better than the vday one for the ladies... those dresses suck...

I know some don't like it but I ended up getting the Turismo - suits me just fine and I've still got enough in the bank for another car. The jet is expensive admittedly (but worth getting) but other than that I think most of the new stuff is reasonably priced.

Also don't mind grinding out the Rooftop Rumble mission either - its worth it not just for the money & RP but also seeing other players getting knocked down by a passing car just after starting the mission!

i like the speed and the grip of the road the turismo has, i just hate the look of it...

Or they'd drop the payout significantly so those who want to play it can do so without it becoming cash cow.

I'm happy to work at accumulating GTA$, but the repetitiveness is mind-numbing. I wouldn't mind the grind, if only there were a few other high-paying missions to choose from...the same cycle of Trash Talk, Rooftop Rumble, and Mixed Up With Coke is agonizing.

I'll poaster more later, but I have some documents to deliver at the moment.
