avsrule247 2 Report post Posted July 4, 2014 I've had GTA V since release but I haven't had time to try online yet. I went on last night and I'm overwhelmed with all of my options. Can someone give me some tips on how to level up and/or earn cash rather quick? I don't mind playing a variety of missions to keep things fresh. MrMister81 473 Report post Posted July 4, 2014 The current Independence Day event playlist yields pretty decent RP. When you first load up the game there should be an option for "Event"... Triangle on PS3, I think. Or from the in-game pause menu, go to Online -> Playlists -> Rockstar... And find the Independence Day option. But don't listen to me. I suck at all things Online. Godspeed. gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted July 4, 2014 There's a playlist to play the mission Potshot five times in a row. Drive down the path to the farm, but don't get too close to the gate. Shoot the two guards by the bridge and wait for the van to drive out past the bridge towards you. Shoot the driver, steal the van, drive to Trevor's. Repeat. Each playthrough pays out over $10K. Other high-paying missions include Rooftop Rumble and Mixed Up With Coke. Problem is, you have to be a certain level to unlock those missions as an option, or be in a lobby with someone ranked high enough to start the job and invite you. Since you're just starting out, stick to invite-only lobbies or play with crew members. Take the time to level up in order to unlock some of the better weapons and vehicle options - work your way through the in-game missions from Lester, Simon, Trevor etc to gain XP. You get bigger/better RP from working with crew members. Rob all the stores, look for crate drops and armored trucks, and work your way through all the races and parachute jumps etc. Every little bit will start to add up. Don't forget you can steal a car and sell it every 45 minutes too. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
MrMister81 473 Report post Posted July 4, 2014 Yup, gtagrl pointed out the best mission (currently) for making phat stacks, yo. Potshot is way too easy, and pays very well. If you're super-n00b like I was/still am, it might be helpful to know that you can find a playlist on Social Club and add it to the game from there.
