DiO 4730 Report post Posted January 21, 2016 Same problem with Cait on the Constitution. "How the hell did this thing get up here?" two seconds later, "how the hell did this thing get up here?" Rinse and repeat for duration of stay. All followers do that at the Constitution. I've had McReady there, and Nick. They both kept saying their lines about the boat over, and over. ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 21, 2016 So after trying out the explosive shotgun yesterday I found it pretty good at getting the job done and loads of fun too, suits my guy as he's pretty no nonsense, to the point and not worried about collateral damage. If I could find an explosive hunting rifle then I could have a proper anti-materiel .50 cal.
shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted January 21, 2016 I've finally managed to finish my 'mega structure'. Not worked completely solidly on it as I have still done quests, scavenging etc. It's taken a hell of a lot of materials so that involved quite a bit of travelling between Abernathy Farm, Diamond City and Goodneighbor to buy shipments of materials. Spent a good number of caps but most of it was made back anyway from selling stuff I had picked up from gunners, raiders etc. Bit limited to what I could put in since I'm on PS4 - obviously far better settlements built by those on PC but I also made good use of the settlement size glitch (had to do it at least 4 times!) Considering the amount of materials it took, it will be a good while before I try and build anything of this size again! It's not the most aesthetically pleasing - I screwed up a bit with the foundations, hence the messy corner. Anyway, I had to think about what I wanted to build so I hit upon the idea of a 'religious' building. I then decided it was going to be for my own 'cult' so the 'Church of Gaz' was born! Starting off with the boring bits - Abernathy Farm fenced off (found it better using the steel walls rather than the junk fences). Main entrance area - reception desk and stairs down to the basement. The basement - basically the workshop and generator room. Refreshment area... There was a letter or two that were problematic so got a bit lazy and just did 'small case' letters with the 'r' and 'n'. Walking into the main hall: No bibles or hymn books in this place! Level one seating Level 2 seating Up on level 3 The 'posh' seating on level 3! Top of the towers... Looking down on Concord As part of the cult, we sacrifice cats and neck a bottle of Gwinnett Ale! After that, I'll be taking a rest from settlement building for a while!
ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 22, 2016 I can't find the gwinnett lager recipe for Buddy, according to the wiki it should be in the Shamrock taphouse under the collapsed bar. I think a stray grenade might have flung it somewhere into blue hell, i've waited for weeks before returning so everything resets but still nothing.
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted January 22, 2016 If I remember correctly, it's on the left side of the bar, right as you go through the doorway. I've only done the quest that sends you there on my first file, however.

gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted January 22, 2016 Gaz, I will take a moment to bow down in honour of the sheer effort and materials it took to construct that insane structure.
shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted January 22, 2016 Thanks all! Have to admit, I've got a few other plans in place for the future for a couple of other settlements but for now, I want to plough on with the quests etc (and restock my materials!) Gaz, how the fuck did you build so high? I saw someone else on Youtube build a 'skyscraper' at the same location although he's on PC. He briefly described why you can build as high as this at some locations but not at others ( something to do with how high the terrain is I think.... or something like that). You can also build very high at Starlight Drive-in too, although I think Abernathy Farm is probably the better location in terms of how high you want to go. Just thought I'd give it a bash and see how high I could go on PS4! Despite all the materials used and the size of the structure, surprisingly I haven't experienced any frame-rate issues. ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 22, 2016 No, all my extra building doesn't have an impact on fps either. The build caps are ridiculously low. I can't stress how fucking great my explosive combat shotgun is, bumped into a legendary savage deathclaw, two shots later and both its legs are blown clean off. You don't even need to hit what you're aiming at, just blast the floor or a wall behind your target.

shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted January 24, 2016 I've been a little childish.... again! Did this after completing the Covenant mission: Sacrificed Jacob to the Gods! We'll have none of that now I'm boss!
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted January 25, 2016 so i reached that point you guys were talking about in the story where i make the decision on helping the railroad or the institute... it seems so obvious as for what my choice is in this scenario to stay on the good side with the railroad... but i am gearing up for that battle you guys mentioned, i'll probably have that done tonight, and we'll see what side i fight for after that... it better not be the minutemen, i'll save that for a goody goody character... my guy is good, but he's not an angel... he says the sarcastic remark a lot, because he finds most people's requests of him to be tedious or "wtf really?" lol, so i use sarcasm a lot ... i've gotten good at lying to people tho ...
ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 25, 2016 I just finished the Brotherhood story last night and became a sentinel. Quite liked it, using my explosive shotgun was like setting the game to ridiculously easy though even on survival. I hate finishing the main story as I lose all interest in playing any more. I made it to level 75, no way i'll ever make it to 100. I guess now I have to play for a fourth time (ugh) and do the Railroad story.
DiO 4730 Report post Posted January 26, 2016 Anyone of you see anything like this yet? https://twitter.com/Ayreon01/status/691771701353418752 I've gotten it twice. The waterpump that is pumping with no one there. It doesn't stop. It's happened twice. I end up having to scrap it cause the noise gets annoying. Anyways, Here are my characters and what is awesome about their builds. First up, Reginald Fessenden. If you give a fuck why he is named that The name comes from a project I did in college. It was about some dude who did some shit with radios. Anyways, I portrayed him in a skit and gave him a British accent for no reason. The real guy had no accent. Since then I've used his name for video game characters. Especially ones that are kinda douchy. ( my hipster guy in gta online in ps3, and now here for my super goodie goodie minute man character ) Here is his gunslinger perks are stacked with vats perks and the deliverer. I also have some armour that reduces vats cost. I can max out the allowed amount of shots in one vats session and have AP left over. I seriously have to use up those shots, and re enter vats immediately if I want to empty my AP completely. Easy to say, I can clear a building in one AP bar especially with extra sneak damage. Notice how small the red bars are on the vats meter And now, my sarcastic, kinda bitchy, but still good at heart rail road chick. Kai Hensen If you give a fuck why she is named that My last play-through I named a Gamma gun "Kai Hensen" because that is the name of the front man in a band called Gamma Ray (he is also in Helloween ) Thought the name sounds kinda girly, and she is a total dyke so a he/she name seemed appropriate. I got the head shot accuracy in vats perks from MacCready stacked with sniper perks. As you can see I can hit their head from any distance in vats. 95% hit chance compared to the rest of the targets at 9-11ish %. I figure just some ballistic weave in Desdemona's outfit is good enough..Fuck armour. I rarely get out of hidden or caution status so I really don't need to lug around armor. Set my strength really low with her so it's good to travel light. My endurance is only 1 as well. Makes it interesting as when the shit hits the fan, I do die quick. Got the party girl perks so I just down bourbon, vodka and wine to increase my endurance a bit and bring up my max health. I do alright.
ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 26, 2016 I rarely used VATS as my current character, actually I only used it to spot enemies. And MacCready's perk is bugged isn't it? Means you always get 95% regardless of any other factors. The melee perk is bugged too I believe, final rank halves damage rather than doubling it. Shame because I plan on going melee only next playthrough.

Shame because I plan on going melee only next playthrough. i'm the same, i rarely use VATS on fallout 4... they've improved the combat so drastically that i don't feel like i am tethered to it... sure i'll probably use it from a distance since most body shots drop enemies anyways... but the accuracy with all the weapons has improved so much that wasting a couple bullets is no big deal... even the sniper rifle is 99% more accurate that all i gotta do is hold my breath before pulling the trigger ... I planned on doing a melee character too really soon. Well fuck. I looked it up and only suggestion I saw was stick to rank 4. I'll just wait. I wanted to do a sneak melee character that wears the baseball uniform and uses a swatter. I thought that shit would be funny. I'll just do my 4th character idea. Unarmed fighter and power armour - brotherhood play through.
ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 26, 2016 I suppose Bethesda are too hard at work making a buggy DLC to be arsed to fix the numerous bugs in the main game. Still we got two patches, one of which nerfed the lighting in Corvega, the other... I don't know what that did.
Rob 1390 Report post Posted January 26, 2016 I think Bethesda really missed an opportunity to call people who support the synths synthesisers. I'll go now.

Ginginho 1613 Report post Posted January 27, 2016 Finally made it to the Glowing Sea (1st play through)... thank fuck for mysterious serum... I might actually move the story forward now... I got all the bobbleheads too... has everyone arranged the main skill bobbleheads in the display case in SPECIAL order like me? I need to learn how to take/post pics...
Ginginho 1613 Report post Posted January 28, 2016 Anyways, Here are my characters and what is awesome about their builds. First up, Reginald Fessenden. If you give a fuck why he is named that I have just read The Stand by Stephen King... if you don't know about it, it is about the US during and after a virus decimates the population and turns it into an apocalyptic wasteland... the survivors are led by dreams to either the "good" side or "evil" side... The leader of the evil side is known as Randall Flagg but has a number of pseudonyms, all with the initials RF... thought you were the Dark Man when I first saw it... your character even looks pretty close to how I imagined him... was quite disappointed by your explanation...
ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted January 28, 2016 Yeah the SPECIAL bobbleheads are arranged in order, the others I couldn't give a fuck about. Just taking time to collect all the magazines before I start my fourth playthrough, only a few tesla sciences and taboo tattoos left to get.
