Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 27, 2016 Captain Avery is fucking gone. She was in my way, and tried to start the dialogue that ends The Changing Tide while I was trying to do The Great Hunt, so I just walked past her and continued my quest. When I got back from that (the quest has a travel sequence), she was gone, and my quest marker says she's in the same location as me, wherever I go. I didn't realize this until AFTER I'd done a thousand things and there were no saves left from before this, because I didn't have it set as my active quest. Nothing is fixing it. Should've just upgraded my PC. None of this would have happened.
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted May 27, 2016 her and a group of people are still standing outside the front gates of the pier, aiming at a children of atom member... every time i go up there, i can't talk to any of them because it says they are currently busy... no matter what i do they just stand there... i made a quicksave and killed the child of atom and they all got pissed, said "i hope you're happy with yourself" or something like that ... but then they all dispersed and i could talk to them again... but they've been like this for hours now, every time i travel to the pier, they're still standing there... so if worse comes to worse, i'll just kill that person again if that's what it takes... longfellow didn't like that, and neither did i... bethesda game glitches... lol...

Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 28, 2016 The new aesthetic they gave the Children of the Atom in Far Harbor makes them look cooler than any other faction from the Commonwealth. My Inquisitor-painted marine armor set looks incredible, aside from the left arm being ruined, once again, by the Pip-Boy. First mod I'm hoping for, when we get them on console, is a Pip-Boy replacer. I've been using a mod to replace it with a handheld since 3.

I'm changing all my marine armor to inquisitor to match that thing. Coolest armor.
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 29, 2016 San Francisco is mentioned in Fallout 4 as many times as the Institute and the Commonwealth were mentioned in Fallout 3. Just a thought I had.
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 San Francisco is mentioned in Fallout 4 as many times as the Institute and the Commonwealth were mentioned in Fallout 3. Just a thought I had. ...you think they'd hand their baby off to obsidian again and let them throw together another story from the west coast?? i mean, i want more fallout of course, but the west coast is where the main fallout universe took place, i would love to have more lore out that way ... fallout 4 did a marvelous job with city building, i would think those same tools could be applied to san fransisco ... DuPz0r 5361 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 San Francisco would be epic. All those hills and highland, instead of the usual failry flat world we're used to.
Synch 476 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 So... anyone else meet Erickson? Fallout meets Skyrim. Really cool guy. Just got around to meeting him, what a nice surprise. Totally cool guy. Had read the notes about him and Grun in the factory. Never connected the two together. Good to find him.
shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) Finally finished my arena - took a hell of a lot of resources and caps but got there in the end. Why I decided to build it on Spectacle Island I'll never know - it's bumpy terrain caused a few problems so you'll notice a number of imperfections (I would've built at Starlight Drive-in but I already had my pyramid built there which I didn't want to knock down). Anyway, here it is - all that's left to do now is finish off assigning settlers and then battle will commence! (I'll post a vid if it's any good!). First off, the exterior: Inside the Vault-Tec Stand: Upper tier concourse View from the upper tier Vault-Tec Stand showing the lower tier terracing Uncle Knobhead Terrace Nuka Cola Stand Looking at the Corporate Whores Stand Admin offices Nuka Cola Stand toilet facilities! Synch 476 Report post Posted May 30, 2016 Finally finished my arena That is Shabbtastic, Shabbtacular. Epic, bro. Never seen anything like that. Fine architecture. Meanwhile, I'm stuck on the last VR sim of DiMA's memories. The in game action reminds me of the old Half Life Portal.... "nOw yOu'Re wOrK-iNg wITh PoR-TAL" Has anyone completed the last one yet? OY-8K7D. I think I fucked it up and will have to do it over. It's a bitch!
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 Just finished it before going to work, this afternoon. I forget where the beam initially comes from, but you just go counter-clockwise, from there. It's hard to explain further without a diagram.

It's hard to explain further without a diagram. I should make a diagram/schematic. I missed a relay, other than that I was there. Short of one relay, damn. Thanks, Warlord. gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 Shabbagaz, that arena is simply incredible. Love all the names too - so funny!
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 Well I'm glad you figured it out, Synch, because I meant to say "clockwise." Really would've fucked your shit up.
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 i liked those memory programs... but yea, that last one is super tough... i ran into grun yesterday, made a vine out of it because his head fell off ... https://vine.co/v/iVpB7qA717J i find myself not collecting as much junk in these new places... i dunno, i guess i am getting tired of checking every single nook and cranny for an aluminum can or two... plus, i am not building nearly as much these days anyways, i just want to get thru the story and see the sights, not spend an extra 30 or so minutes in each area looting it... it's gonna take me a long time to get thru this anyways, junk collecting and finding all the safes is starting to get boring for me... hell, i only grab ammo off dead enemies to be honest, and occasional legendary items...
DiO 4730 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 True Bones, you probably don't really need too after having a good stock built up. I find myself doing less of that too. However I do have 5 characters with separated inventories so I kind of have to still on some characters. I don't know who Grun is so.... *doesn't watch vine Anyone find it's fucking impossible to sneak around in far harbour? Maybe it's that I haven't played much in the commonwealth on the new very hard difficulty, but I can't sneak for shit like I used too. I end up in full on combat which my first character is not set up for. So he kinda sucks now. It's kinda pissing me off.
CaPn bOnEs 8527 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 lol me and my trusty 20+ bleed combat shotgun rapes far harbor ... he was built for combat... and sniping trappers and stuff from a distance is also a nice way of picking off a few guys before entering full on combat... keep in mind that i still have my chameleon chest piece, so i might be in CAUTION, but it takes a minute before enemies actually spot me and i enter full on combat... i love that fucking metal chest piece ... it's been a part of me for what seems like 75% of my playthrough ...
gtagrl 4317 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 I haven't had any trouble sneaking in Far Harbor, and both Valentine and I have been clanking around in power armour the whole time (which I only used for specific locations in the Commonwealth, and never bothered putting a follower in before except to try it once - I nuked a guy's fusion core, so it counts as stolen, and figured Valentine may as well use it, but now his hat has disappeared... ). It must be affected by your difficulty level, DiO. And I've been trying out the FH weaponry for shits and giggles, but still end up reverting back to the Reba II and my explosive shottie, both make short work of crustacean faces. I've noticed some Trappers regenerate health pretty quickly, the gamma gun has come in handy on them. I just found DiMA's tapes and think I'll visit the Children of Atom next. I'm just ignoring my settlements for now, they can get by without me for a while, the needy bastards.
shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted May 31, 2016 Cheers all Shabbagaz, that arena is simply incredible. Love all the names too - so funny! Got stuck for a name for the 'Uncle Knobhead Terrace' at first then just decided to name it after one of the guys I work with! (anyone British and/or has watched Peter Kay knows where I'm coming from!) Absolutely drained most of my caps - must've easily spent 60,000 + caps on materials, and that's including scavenging & selling stuff on as I went along.
shabbagaz 444 Report post Posted June 1, 2016 This is how the first arena fight turned out. Nothing particularly exciting - ended up getting shut of the middle wall & trying to organise the settlers was pain. Could do with more cages and I need a new perimeter fence!!
Synch 476 Report post Posted June 2, 2016 Well I'm glad you figured it out, Synch, because I meant to say "clockwise." Really would've fucked your shit up. I was missing the decoder at the 5:00 position. Now I can find the missing Marine Armor locations. After swimming: I had all of that already except the default helmet. Looks like the Assault Marine Helmet is the standard version different than the one Brooks carries in Far Harbor. (Legendary star version, Recon, +1 Agility and Perception)
Massacre 7646 Report post Posted June 2, 2016 Helmet was a little too bulky, for me. Plus, you can't modify it, so no ultra-light build, meaning it's heavier than I'd like, for a helmet. Sporting assault marine armor, marine wetsuit, and tactical marine helmet. I switch to the zealot armor and inquisitor hood, if I'm feeling... rad.
