Psy 350 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 Thought it might be interesting to see where everyone on here is from. Would be cool if one of us is travelling near to another member, cos you know, could meet up... For sex. Or murder. Reason I'm mainly asking is because I might have been going to Miami for a week and I'm sure we used to have some members from around there. I'm not going now though, but it's still interesting. Also I need to know where you live so when I gamble all my money away I can crash at your place. Anyway.......... I'm from Newcastle in the North East of the UK. It's pretty much the most Northern town in England before you get to the Scottish border, so our accents do sound slightly Scottish to people who don't know any better. It's nowhere near London. When I speak to Americans when I'm over there they think everyone comes from London. No, Newcastle is about 400 miles away from London, it's the other end of the country. I suppose Newcastle is famous for it's bridges, nightlife and women. There are a number of bridges over the River Tyne, including the Tyne Bridge and Milennium Bridge which are pretty cool. The Tyne Bridge was featured in the credits for "Driver" on PS1 if you can remember that far back. The nightlife is pretty crazy. There's TONS of bars here and it's a lot cheaper than most of the country. People travel from all over for stag/hen do's (bachelor parties?). And the women... Well they don't like wearing much, even though it's not very warm here. Plenty eye candy. And slags. Oh and you might have heard of/seen/drunk Newcastle Brown Ale which is from here (although now brewed in Edinburgh or something). Oh, and there's the Angel of The North. And the casino... Err, here's some pics.
Skribble 32 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 Wow, that was in-depth! I'm from the Northern Beaches of Sydney (Australia) We also have a bridge! It's like 30 minutes from sydney, we have the harbor bridge, the opera house, a shit tonne of bars, clubs, nightlife... And heaps of like koalas and shit. We all ride kangaroos to work, and Home and Away (Summer Bay) is Palm Beach like 10 minutes up the road. Plus back in my day they used to film some of the school shit at our high school. Dunno if they still do. Pretty dope place to live, I'm about 25 seconds walk till I'm on the beach. P.S This is my beach - Collaroy

ViceMan 1380 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 Uh... <-- there. There's not much worth writing about or interesting things to see. I'm surprised Google has as many images of the place as it does. Here are a few from Google anyway. The train station near where I live. The Royal Oak, a pub near where I live that Elizabeth the First once visited. An old 11th century church just to the right of the Royal Oak. The sort of house we live in. (We're mid terraced though.) Uh that's about it. Really dull, but we have our fair share of chavs. Innit. Guest Marney1 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 I'm from Liverpool heritage Liverpool is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, like the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. The city won the status in 2004 because of its impressive waterfront which, according to UNESCO, represents a ‘supreme example of a commercial port at the time of Britain’s greatest global significance’. The World Heritage Site officially stretches from Albert Dock, which alone has the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in the UK, along The Pier Head and up to Stanley Dock. These icons of Liverpool heritage made Liverpool one of the centres of world trade in the 18th and 19th centuries and meant it played an important role in the growth of the British Empire and the industrial revolution beyond. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEMiE6ffRPk This is what British people think we are like. Two of these are actually Scouse, Harry Enfield isn't. Also, if you don't have a sense of humour you are deported. We're also the only city to have our own embassy in London. Massacre 7646 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 I'm from Vegas, which needs no pics, and later from just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. Cincinnati is cool, but the town I actually lived in is gay, and I have no pics of it. I don't live in either of those places now, but, fuck where I live now. My place is the only remotely interesting part of town.
cuda 939 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 Lisbon, Portugal. Known for some shit, I don't know. We have a lot of places to drink at, some good beaches, nice weather. I've been around, in my opinion, Lisbon stands out for it's light, the way the sun reflects on our buildings, with it's vivid colours, it gives the city an unique look and feel. The city is very old, it's the European capital of graffiti (some shit I heard), there isn't an inch along the train course without graffiti, some of it is really good. Stoic Person Eater 159 Report post Posted September 27, 2011 I live in Tampa, FL. It's hot and muggy. There are beaches and strip clubs that are close. There are also theme parks with roller coasters and waterslides. There are lots of black people and hispanics so it is easy to find drugs. Orlando is close and there are more theme parks and waterslides there, Pieface once worked as a tourist in Orlando where he was sodomized by Mickey Mouse.

OptimumPx 329 Report post Posted September 28, 2011 I like that you posted an Eastbound and Down pic, cause I'm from Shelby, North Carolina. Not much like it's shown in that show though. Small and mostly worthless city. Known (locally only) for livermush. It's actually good, but never read the ingredients list.
