As for the track it is based on, Hollywood Park Race Track is actually nowhere near Hollywood (it's near LAX and the beaches) but of course that doesn't stop Rockstar from using it there. There are a few tracks in the LA area. I had time to look into it and it is based on the Hollywood Park racetrack and the casino next door: Could it possibly be the LS version of the Hollywood Park Race Track? Holy shit...
