GTA 5 3D Ready?

There is a possibility that Rockstar Games may decide to make GTA 5 3D Ready. An increasing number of new games come with this feature, including Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, Gran Turismo 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Killzone 3 and a widely expanding heap of others. Many older games are also being patched to include 3D functionality.

Currently none of Rockstar's games are available in 3D, but if Max Payne 3 isn't the first to incorporate this functionality, what better game to start than their sure-to-be blockbuster GTA V?

As an owner of a 3D TV I have checked out a large amount of content from both sports, movies and games and it's clear to me that animated content seems to work best in 3D. As video games are animated, I can't imagine it's huge deal to add this functionality to a game, although admittedly I don't have any experience in this field. One thing I do know is playing GTA 5 in 3D would be awesome. Just imagine smashing your car through a wooden fence and seeing shrapnel flying out of your tv. Or dodging a bullet as it whizzes past your head. Or getting blood in your eyes while blasting someone with a shotgun from close range!

Personally I would be surprised if Rockstar don't include this feature in Max Payne 3, as I think it would work well with "bullet time". If they do decide to do that, the experience could easily be transferred to GTA 5 and it would be a shock (to me at least) if the game doesn't make use of the technology available.

How about you? Would you like to play through Grand Theft Auto V in 3D? Would the feature encourage you to get a 3D TV (if you don't already)? Or do you consider it a gimmick that doesn't interest you? Let us know in the comments below!

I will only be getting it if it's 3D. After getting nvidia 3D vision I haven't wanted to play any 2D games since. Portal, Tomb Raider and Audio Surf are unbelievable in 3D.
3D TV's don't cost £1000 by the way. You can easily get one for less than £300. You can even get a 3D HD projector up and running with PS3 for less than £600 (which is what I have (it cost £800 then but has come down in price since)).

That's not how it works. No one would be forced to use 3D but if you have a TV capable of 3D then you would have the option to use it.

I do not think this would be good because the people who do not own a 3D TV, would then have to spend £1000 on a TV and then buy the game.

Is there a petition? It would be huge. Man. That would be HUGE. I'm sorry for the people who think stereoscopic 3d is not a big deal. That's a shitty position to take on the subject. To me its like looking out a window opposed to looking at a photo of it. If done correctly (Batmat Arkham City) it adds extreme depth to a game, and makes it a lot mor e fun to play. That one move alone has potential to revolutionize gaming like a fucking analog stick. Ahhhh.... I can only dream.

yes I think all games should start incorporating it considering most new TVs are 3d comparable its going to be a part of the TV world very shortly

Will be disappointed if there isn't 3d compatibility- the only way forward is 3d we have 2 eyes for a reason - I concede however current 3d tech isn't sufficient! (especially for prolonged gaming)
