GTA5 Confirmed by Lead Voice on Twitter?

CVG is reporting that American actor Gilbert Gottfried announced via his Twitter page that he was cast to voice the main character in a yet-to-be-confirmed Grand Theft Auto 5.

Gottfried supposedly tweeted, "just found out I'm voicing the lead in grand theft auto 5!", but the tweet has since been deleted. When Rockstar North was contacted for comment they simply replied with a poster for Problem Child, a film which Gottfried starred in 1990.

If this is true, we now at least have confirmation of GTA5s existence (as if we needed it) and perhaps some idea of what we could expect the characters to be like.

Unfortunately, Twitter isn't a reputable source, and while Gottfried might have a spot in GTA5s voice lineup (or maybe not now) he may not necessarily be the voice for the protagonist.

Guess we'll have to wait and see but it's great to see the GTA5 rumourmill already churning out some juicy details!
